During the setup process, a user must have a wired connection between the router and the computer. A wired connection avoids the risk of a sudden disconnection between the devices. A user must check the back of the router to note down the default Wireless settings to connect to the router during the connection process.
Note down the MAC ID of the router that will help you to resolve the internet issue after the setup process.
Steps to setup Dlink AC1750 in a local network
- Unbox the router along with the accessories and cable that came along with it.
- Turn around the router and attach the modem cable to the yellow port.
- Take the Ethernet cable and join it’s one end to the Ethernet port of the router and the other end to the computer.
- Insert the power cable into it’s port. Attach the Power adapter into the electric outlet.
- Press the Power button behind the router and wait for the router to turn on.
- The LED above the router lit along with the Power LED, Wi-fi LED, and global LED.
- Move on to your computer and open the Wi-fi settings.
- Scan for the available Wi-fi networks and select the default Network Name of the Dlink router to connect to its network.
- You will be automatically redirected to the dlinkrouter.local setup page.
- First, select the language from the drop-down list on the left-hand side for the Dlink router interface. English is set as the default language.
- Click on the Next button.
- The dlinkrouter.local interface starts detecting Internet connection in your network.
- Select the DHCP as the Internet connection type then clicks on the Next button.
- Personalize the Wireless settings of the network of both the Wi-fi names including 2.4 GHz and 5GHz.
- Assign the Network name to each of the Wi-fi bands along with their Wi-fi password. Make sure to assign different SSID names to each Wi-fi band.
- Click on the Next button when you are done.
- In the next window, create an admin password for the Dlink router login window.
Dlink AC1750 router login setup
- Click on the Next button.
- Review the settings you did on the page then click on the Next tab.
- The summary page will show the connection type along with the wireless and administrative settings.
- Click on the Finish button when you are done reviewing it. Users are recommended to note down the important credentials somewhere for further use.
- The router starts the reboot process to apply the changes you made. It may take a while.
Note: After completion of the setup process, if a user is not connected to the internet he has to repair the issue. Login to the dlinkrouter.local interface using the admin password you created during the setup process. Go to the Settings tab from the main menu Dashboard then select the Internet option. Assign the MAC ID in the MAC address clone option that you noted down before the setup process. Go back to the home page and you will notice that your router gets connected to the Internet.
